New Holgate Hotel - York

There were vintage, budget rooms with the bedroom and toiletries. The breakfast was tasty by their larger than life Italian chef, the food was excellent. I liked the location, which was marvellous to near the breakfast area.

I appreciated the hotel, it was fairly clean with efficient and accommodating staff at reception desk.

Fine decor and comfort.

The room wassuper clean and cozy, but traffic noise was quite loud.

The staff here were really friendly & the hotel was super clean. Rooms were nicely laid out and beds were comfy. Enjoyed the good tv with lots of channels too. It was a short walk to the city center which was perfect.

Had some road noise at night which was kinda annoying and the bathroom could use a shelf for stuff, like shampoo. No milk for tea in the room, a bummer.

The location was perfect, just a short walk to all the main sights. The staff were always ready to help. The place was quiet and clean.

I had a wonderful stay! The room was clean and comfortable with lovely toiletries. Breakfast was delightful, especially the locally sourced options and the charming garden area to relax in.

Lovely little boutique hotel, rooms r really comfy n clean. Staff were super friendly n helped us with everything we needed. Breakfast was delish n fresh. The location was great, close to town but not too noisy. Worth every penny, will def come back!

The hot n cold taps in our room weren't marked, n the sink was kinda small. The shower could use a soap dish.

great access to attractions and beautiful parks nearby

I loved the easy walk to the fine Yorkshire Museum and the peaceful York Museum Gardens, both just a short stroll away. The room was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. This place is ideal for single travelers like me who enjoy discovering city landmarks and relaxing in nearby parks.

Lovely staff who stored our bags. But check-in was confusing and slow.

This place has a great location, I mean everything is close by and easy to get to even on foot and I liked that the room had all these little extras like a smart tv and nice toiletries, it felt good to come back to after a long day of meetings, also the staff were great, they totally were pretty good too help us out and make sure we were comfortable which is rare these days

I stayed for 2 nights in a Double Suite. The room was spacious and comfortable. The location was excellent, close to attractions. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I enjoyed the nice period decor and quiet surroundings 😊

Perfect spot for a getaway

Located just a short stroll to The Shambles. Super clean and comfy. Staff were always around to help. Breakfast was really good too! Only thing was the draft from the not-quite-sealed window. But, otherwise, no complaints!

great experience but minor noise issue

The hotel is modern and thoughtfully designed. The garden view was a good touch that enhanced our experience .

There was some noise from the nearby street that could be heard in the room.
